Kitchens should maximise light

Posted by Sinks on 27th Jun 2017

Kitchens need to incorporate as much light as possible to reflect a clean and inviting atmosphere, it has been claimed.Lori Smith, writing for Examiner.com, stated that the kitchen is the social centre of the home and it is important to keep the room sunny, cheerful and clean. She remarked The kitchen is a great space to feature large windows to bring the sunshine in, adding that bay windows can be particularly good in food-preparation areas. According to Ms Smith, dark areas in the kitchen should be avoided and a number of lighting options exist to combat shady patches, such as under-cabinet lights, chandeliers and pendants. People were also advised to install mirrors to reflect existing luminosity in the kitchen, while at the same time adding depth. Writing for Hamptons, Cindy Lee Bergersen recommended purchasing deep kitchen sinks for cooking enthusiasts to create more space in which to prepare food.ADNFCR-1321-ID-19347425-ADNFCR
