Kitchens need new appliances to sell

People looking to sell their property should think about investing in new appliances to increase the chances of attracting buyers. That is the opinion of Deborah Gorham of US-based real estate firm Long Foster, who said many individuals are keen to purchase a house with modern accessories, the Washington Post reports. She noted The kitchen is a room buyers obsess over, she said, and they just want new, adding that a dishwasher was a good choice as it is the appliance that takes the most use and abuse. Those who use a kitchen sink instead of a dishwasher should look at alternative options like painting the house in neutral colours, Ms Gorham suggested, as it is less likely to clash with the prospective buyers own preferences. The Miami Herald recently reported Paint-Over! host Jennifer Bertrands comments that painting backsplash areas is a very effective way of upgrading a kitchen at a low cost.
