She noted The kitchen is a room buyers obsess over, she said, and they just want new, adding that a dishwasher was a good choice as it is the appliance that takes the most use and abuse. Those who use a kitchen sink instead of a dishwasher should look at alternative options like painting the house in neutral colours, Ms Gorham suggested, as it is less likely to clash with the prospective buyers own preferences.
