Improvements to a kitchen are of the highest importance when it comes to attracting prospective buyers, research has suggested.In a Tickbox survey carried out for LloydsTSB, a majority of estate agents across the UK felt that a new kitchen was the single most important factor in increasing the likelihood of a home finding a buyer.Around the country, agents were fairly agreed on the value of a new or revamped kitchen.In London 73 per cent placed kitchens at the top of the list of value-added improvements, while in the North East a huge 86 per cent held the same view.Meanwhile, in Scotland 64 per cent of agents had seen houses being taken off the market in order to make improvements, suggesting the value that undertaking these kinds of works can add to a residential property.A key way that homeowners can revamp a kitchen on a budget is by adding a beautiful new undermount sink, which will fit seamlessly with an existing work surface and breath a new lease of life into the room.
