Kitchens change with families

As a family grows up, kitchen design needs to change and adapt to the new roles it is required to fill, it has been claimed. An example of this is the Toland family, which found that its old kitchen was not providing the space they needed as the children grew up.Frank Toland told the Homer Horizon that the kitchen was no longer meeting our needs. Now that our son and daughter were getting older, we needed more elbow room and shelf space. The cabinets were getting older, the island was too close to the cabinets, and there wasnt a lot of extra room to maneuver, he said.He suggested that having an overall plan of how to change a kitchen design, even before any professionals are called, can be a big help. One of the measures that the Toland family took was to ensure there is more room between the shelf and the table, as well as to install a brand new kitchen sink.
