Joanne Richard, a design writer for QMI Agency, noted that there is now a wide range of options for homeowners when it comes to choosing kitchen taps. She observed that at the high-end of the market, the most sophisticated types of taps range from funky, futuristic or fun to minimalistic, timeless or traditional, and come in all price ranges. In addition, Ms Richard observed that there are now taps to complement any decor, with options including single-handle and two-handle taps, finishes like oil-rubbed bronze and stainless steel, and added bonuses like soap/lotion dispensers and coordinating side sprays. Meanwhile, a report in the Independent last week argued that homeowners are using different types of wood in more imaginative and grown-up ways when it comes to their kitchen designs. The newspaper argued that in recent times there has been a growing number of contemporary-minded people who have been finding more innovative uses for wood in their homes.
