Scottish Water is urging parents to include kitchen tap water in their childrens school bag to ensure they are properly hydrated through the day. According to the Cumnock Chronicle, regional communities manager at the utilities provider Dawn McDermott suggested that during the difficult economic climate it could be friendlier on the pocket too. She remarked All you would need to do is fill your water bottle from your kitchen tap before you leave for school or work in the morning.People in Scotland may forget they have a constant supply of water available from their kitchen tap, Ms McDermott added, with Scottish Water looking to invest 550 million in making the quality of drinking water better. Kitchen tap water can make individuals more alert and healthier she stated. Last month, Fife Press reported that Suzy Goodsir of Friends of the Earth Fife called on the government to consider its bottled water policies.
