An innovative kitchen gadget is now available for purchase after winning the James Dyson Award last year, it has been revealed.According to the Press Association, the Automist device - a fire extinguisher that can be fitted directly onto a standard kitchen tap - received a major boost from the award and is now on the market.The news comes after the final 20 inventions were shortlisted from over 500 entries for this years award.Sir James Dyson - inventor of the famous vacuum cleaner that bears his name - is due to select the overall winner, to be announced on October 5th.Among this years ingenious inventions are a life raft which generates fresh drinking water, a sports bag which kills odour and bacteria with UV light and a UK entry for a static notice board which firmly holds paper in place, the Press Association said.
