An eco-conscious organisation in the US is offering to install a range of home equipment aimed at helping people cut down on their gas usage.Efficiency United is offering to provide residents in Battle Creek, Michigan with free kits that could have an instant impact on household utility bills, BattleCreekEnquirer.com reported.According to the website, the kits include a new high efficiency massaging shower head, a directional kitchen tap aerator, a bathroom tap aerator, insulation for hot water pipes and even a new digital programmable thermostat where applicable.The offer is free and includes a professional installation by a certified technician who would also conduct a survey of the home to identify other areas that may be losing energy.Efficiency United consists of eleven electric and gas providers in Michigan that have come together to provide energy efficient programmes.Earlier this week, meanwhile, Ethical Consumer Magazine claimed that one persons junk is often another persons treasure when it comes to re-using and recycling household items.
