Style is secondary when it comes to choosing kitchen sinks and taps according to one expert.Max Isley, a National Kitchen and Bath Association member, says how the kitchen sink will be used will affect which one he recommends.Speaking to Home and Garden Television (HGTV), he states that his primary task in helping clients select a sink and faucet is finding ones that will work well and withstand years of daily use.Ms Isley comments that stainless steel is often the best choice for those who are hard on their sinks, while enamel-coated cast iron varieties are probably the prettiest of all the sinks on the market today.When it comes to taps, style is an issue of personal taste, he adds.However, he does suggest taps with a solid brass base material for durability and advises homeowners to consider convenient extras such as a garbage disposal system.In a recent article HGTV advised homeowners to give careful consideration to budgeting in order to keep a kitchen refit project from turning in to a financial nightmare.
