Kitchen sinks and taps must be practical and durable

Posted by Sinks on 27th Jun 2017

When selecting a new sink and taps for your kitchen, bear in mind that, not only do you want your choices to look stylish but that they must be practical and durable too.Your kitchen sink is one of the most heavily used items in the home and the material it is made from must therefore be good quality. Stainless steel is practical (and remember that the heavier the gauge, the better) and enameled cast iron can be elegant and easy to clean.Taps, in particular, get a lot of use as they are turned on and off repeatedly every day for many years and must therefore be strong and reliable. The right choice of tap depends upon your chosen sink as you will need to know your sink or worktops hole configuration, unless you want to drill your worktop to match a particular tap. The standard tap hole is 35mm.
