Homeowners have been advised that the kitchen sink should be one of the cleanest areas of any home.Linda Cobb, cleaning expert and author, shared some tips with the Ipswich Chronicle recommending that homeowners thoroughly cleaned and sanitised their kitchen sink at least once a week.If you are using a disinfectant, remember it must sit on the surface for five to ten minutes, and then it must be rinsed off, she said. Do not spray and wipe.Indeed, Ms Cobb explains that keeping everything fresh and clean is not difficult to achieve.Once a week, put half a cup of baking soda over the opening and add half a cup of white vinegar. Let it sit for 30 minutes, then flush with cool water.Throw some ice cubes and citrus peel in it every so often to keep it clean and free flowing and smelling good, she told the news provider.Meanwhile, Carolyn Forte of Good Housekeeping noted that to keep a stainless steel kitchen sink looking its best, people should take a few minutes to smooth away scratches which can harbour stains and bacteria.
