Kitchen sink missing after refit fiasco

One lady has been left without running water because a kitchen fitting company in London failed to deliver after she paid 12,000 for a renovation. Debbie Whitten, 51, of Poplar Place, Thamesmead, paid for the work up front, but it was seven weeks before Newdoors KB came to take out her old kitchen - by which time she was living on microwave meals due to not having any appliances, News Shopper reports. Ms Whitten admitted to feeling very stupid for giving the organisation cash in advance, adding that she has spoken to the owner, Clive Smith, on several occasions but is still waiting for a number of kitchen accessories. Mr Smith told the news source that work was currently being completed on Ms Whittens kitchen, but claimed there has been problems obtaining some items. Earlier this week, Cris Harding - writing for examiner.com - stated that once someone has spent time saving for a home improvement project it is imperative they bring in the right contractors for the job.
