Kitchen sink meal preparation likely to vary between families

Use of the kitchen sink to prepare meals will be determined by how families or individuals decide to structure their eating. This can and should vary widely, according to nutrition consultant Dr Carina Norris, who notes that different peoples metabolisms suit different kinds of eating habits. She noted that many people prefer three substantial square meals every day. However, others are more inclined to snack continuously, which may suit them better. However, she conceded that having a larger meal provides more scope for getting plenty of nutrients, such as through fruit and vegetables washed in the kitchen sink under the tap.If you are devising one of these snack meal diets, for example, if you have got to get a meal with only 200 calories, it is harder to get all the good nutrients in, she noted. Her comments follow the publication of research into meal nutrition carried out by Purdue Unviersity.Researchers found that eating fewer, regular-sized meals with high levels of lean protein help to make people feel more full-up than if they had eaten smaller meals more frequently.
