Plumbers in the US are anticipating a busy day tomorrow as families across the country sit down to enjoy Thanksgiving today (Thursday, November 25th).Roto-Rooter, a national plumbing and drainage service, told ABC News that the day after Thanksgiving is the single busiest day of the year for residential plumbers.Indeed, it was reported that incoming calls to the company with requests to clear out and fix the kitchen sink go up by more than 50 per cent compared to the average Friday.When you think about Thanksgiving, everyones home, everyones basically eating at home, said Tony DAlessandro, general manager for a Roto-Rooter branch in New York.Between Thanksgiving and that Friday morning, we see a surge in volume of calls.Mr DAlessandro added that turkey bones are one of the most common items to cause sink blockages during Thanksgiving.The news comes after a poll by Mintel found that a significant proportion of younger people struggle to find time to carry out thorough kitchen cleaning.
