Kitchen sink charity walker completes challenge

A charity walker has completed a challenge with a difference by carrying a kitchen sink for the entirety of an 84-mile trek.Former soldier Paul Cocoran, 50, carried the kitchen sink on his back as he walked the length of Hadrians Wall to raise cash for The Rifles 1m Care for Casualties appeal, gazettelive.co.uk reported.Mr Cocoran, who set off on the walk from Bowness-on-Solway, said he had stopped at different points on the route to talk to tourists about the appeal as well as to hand out charity wrist bands and collect sponsor money.He also revealed that he has raised about 3,800 and is well on the way to his 5,000 target.Commenting on the challenge, Mr Cocoran told the news website My wife reminded me that I was not 28 any more and had in fact just celebrated my 50th.But I explained that I was coming out of retirement to do something for this appeal.
