A design team has explained how it was able to turn a small, cramped kitchen into a more functional and attractive space.UK-based Kitchen Design Centre said that instead of altering the actual shape of Ben and Elaine Thompsons kitchen at their Manchester home, the team decided to make utilities like the kitchen sink easier to access while also adding new Neff appliances. We really brought out the best in this kitchen, said designer Will Hustler. The project was tricky because the amount of space we had to work with was quite tight and we still wanted to make sure the Thompsons had all of the appliances built in.Meanwhile, Mr Thompson commented that it was a relief to unlock the potential of the kitchen given that it is a focal point of his familys home. The news comes after Adrienne Chinn, design director at Adrienne Chinn Design, suggested that people are now moving towards the warmer colours in the spectrum when it comes to home designs.
