Kitchen renovators not tiring of eco-concerns

Posted by Sinks on 27th Jun 2017

Homeowners are not yet tiring of environmental concerns, it has been claimed.Matt Hunt, spokesperson for BritishEco.com, a website that offers renewable energy guidance to consumers, argued that while green issues may not be something homeowners notice first hand, there is still a desire from people to make their houses environmentally sound. He was commenting after a report by the Energy Saving Trust found that people are still trying to cut down on energy use, with 74 per cent of people attempting to find ways to cut down on their household bills. However, Mr Hunt conceded that financial concerns may be impacting on the installation of energy saving devices in the home.Maybe its not that people are getting bored of the climate change information, its just that they cant afford to even contemplate it at the moment, he said. The comments come after Tim Doherty, managing director of the National Self Build Renovation Centre in Swindon, suggested that homeowners can make huge savings by doing renovation work - such as installing new kitchen sinks and taps - themselves.
