Homeowners planning a kitchen makeover must clearly define their priorities beforehand, it has been suggested. Interior designer Mick De Giulio told ShelterPop.com that there can be a domino effect of problems if kitchen designs are not properly thought out. Planning is often overlooked and that can have long-term ramifications, he said. Dont just jump into making changes. He urged homeowners to ask themselves key questions such as how they would like their finished kitchen to look as well as what they consider the most important kitchen functions to be. Elsewhere, Mr De Giulio observed that most people will choose to undertake a kitchen renovation project because they wish to replace outdated or broken-down appliances. A kitchen [project] will be expensive even if youre doing a small facelift so its important to decide where to put your money to get the most impact, he said. Mr De Giulio has worked for design firms like Wolf and Sub-Zero and has even developed his own signature line of kitchen sinks.
