Upgrading a kitchen is still a favoured home improvement undertaken by many households during the recession, it has been claimed. Writing for Business First, Ed Green noted that despite challenging global economic conditions, people remain interested in updating their food preparation areas. He remarked Recent kitchen renovations highlight what keeps the remodelling industry alive homeowners are willing to spend money to make their lives easier and more comfortable.According to Mr Green, top priorities for many individuals when modernising their kitchen sink areas are new appliances and contemporary technologies. Kitchen remodelling can often take a lot of time and become frustrating, he added, but experts believe it remains a sought after development because cooking zones are where families spend much of their time. A survey released earlier this year by Halifax estate agents found that 19 per cent of those polled listed a new kitchen as their most desired property uplift.
