A 76-year-old woman is redesigning her kitchen to allow her to remain at home later in life.Shirley Kelley told TCPalm.com that she was attracted to buying her current home because she could modify it to meet her needs. Ms Keeley said that she had hired a contractor to optimise the available space in her compact kitchen by creating a seating and informal dining area.To make the room more functional, the remodel also involved moving the freezer and refrigerator next to a counter to allow Ms Keeley to easily put items down when using the appliances.
