Kitchen owners could be tempted by eco-mortgage

A new eco-mortgage from BuildStore has been unveiled which aims to reward property builders for setting up green homes.Due to be launched at this years Big Green Home show, which takes place in Swindon from October 29th to 31st, the mortgage presents funding options based on building fabric, energy generation and energy performance.Commenting on the mortgage, Jaclyn Thorburn, spokeswoman for BuildStore, said This new mortgage encourages people to build greener homes, rewarding them with a lower interest rate, and gives them access to the funds, advice and materials they need.This mortgage will make building an eco home more affordable and accessible.The news comes after Blane Judd, chief executive at the Chartered Institute of Plumbing and Heating Engineering, noted that homeowners could take advantage of the governments pledge to invest 1 billion into a green investment bank.He suggested that people could use such cash incentives to reduce their water and energy consumption by making changes in the kitchen sink and boiler areas.
