Sink accessories in council homes throughout Wrexham are set to be overhauled in a new 1.2 million scheme from the local council.Up to 400 properties will be upgraded in the programme, with the local authority prioritising homes owned by elderly residents, reports LeaderLive.co.uk.Mark Pritchard, lead member for housing and planning at Wrexham Council, said Many of these tenants have rented from the council for 40 years or more and moved into the bungalows when their families grew up and moved out. After all that time I believe they deserve to have better kitchens. Many new kitchen features are set to be installed thanks to the scheme, such as non-slip flooring and extra electrical sockets.A representative from MyHammer.co.uk recently claimed that a higher number of people are exploring the idea of knocking down their kitchen walls in an attempt to create more space.
