People looking to purchase a property are most likely to be attracted to a modern kitchen, according to recent research. Halifax estate agents have revealed that over one-quarter of those surveyed in a recent study believed home improvements to the kitchen - such as a new kitchen sink were the top attraction to prospective buyers. Gordon Edwards, managing director of the firm, commented Our research shows that most people are influenced by the kitchen when buying a house. However, you do not need to spend thousands on these rooms when trying to sell.According to the results, the kitchen is the room that most people would like to make changes to, with 19 per cent wishing to modernise or revamp the room. This follows statements by Cathy Hartley, who works in marketing and sales support for construction services company Hartley Bros Landscaping, that despite the housing market suffering many individuals are still prepared to update their existing home.
