Kitchen users thinking of buying gadgets should consider the usefulness of their new purchases, it has been suggested.US newspaper the Birmingham Post has offered the advice to its readers that not all kitchen gadgets are as useful as they might seem and consumers are better off saving their cash for the really helpful items.Susan Green, owner of Birmingham Bake Cook cookware store said Just because you see something on the Food Channel, its not necessarily the most practical thing.But it is worth noting that many commonplace kitchen utensils and tools may have started out as gadgets at one time or another, so there are some truly important accessories on the market.However some items, such as eye goggles to use when chopping onions, might be better off left on the shelf.In any case, some kitchen accessories are undoubtedly useful, such as the range of chopping boards and strainers from leading kitchen hardware firm Carron Phoenix, for example.
