Kitchen energy efficiency boosted by cladding

Homeowners can improve the energy efficiency of their kitchens and cut down on bills in the process by investing in proper wall insulation such as cladding, it has been suggested.Brian Berry, director of external affairs, at the Federation of Master Builders, noted that the money-saving aspect of cladding is one of its biggest benefits, particularly at a time when energy bills are going up.If you have got properly insulated walls, you are going to reduce your heating costs and therefore save money, he said. This can be quite expensive we hope that the government will be thinking of a range of incentives to promote the Green Deal.Homeowners aiming to do their bit for the environment could also look to make more efficient use of water in their kitchen sinks. According to Mr Berry, if the government is going to follow through with the target to cut emissions by 80 per cent by 2050, then the existing housing stock needs to be tackled with regards to insulation.
