Lighting is an integral part of any home design project and should be considered on day one of the planning process, Jason Bruges Studio has said.Jason Bruges, creative director and founder of the company, argued that the lighting of an environment should be one of the first aspects of any design as it is part of the master planning and conceptualisation.There are so many angles to creating a good environment and the application of light-based artworks in these environments is critical, but can be the poor cousin to a lot of the other things that are more visual and immediate, he said at an ARC Show preview event.Mr Bruges added that people can improve their interior home designs by employing professionals to consider how best to use lighting.Lighting can affect the ambience in core areas of the home such as in kitchen sink and food preparation areas.
