Kitchen designers can reduce costs

Updating a kitchen does not necessarily have to cost large sums of money as an expert can help to bring down expenses, it has been suggested. According to interior designers Katherine Thornhill and Valerie Borden, there are a number of key ways to make savings when considering home improvements, the Arizona Republic reports. Good design is for everyone, not just for the rich and famous, Ms Thornhill explained, adding that calling in an expert can help homeowners deal with a variety of problems ranging from issues of scale to colour psychology. Ms Borden agreed, noting a situation with one of her clients where she had reduced their cabinet-spending budget from 70 per cent of the total outlay to ten per cent. This enabled the family to install granite sink countertops as well, the news provider stated. Director of the National Home Improvement Council (NHIC) Andrew Leech recently claimed updating a kitchen is popular during winter months.
