Kitchen and bathroom designer Ann Porter has given her predictions for colour trends for 2009 on KitchAnn Style.The first fashion likely to be seen in sinks and taps next year is raw, according to Ms Porter. Galvanized and warm gold metals are predicted, along with other ecologically-minded styles such as white, grey and sand tones.Simplexity is another trend, described as where walls become fluid and fabrics become rigid, with repeated patterns and a harder edge to the years colours. Meanwhile, for those who want to bring the outside into their kitchens, the Urban Silence style features copper with greens and yellows. Finally, Ms Porter said personal style will be an influence on homes, with cultural fusion merging with individual identity. Think of colour as a spice that infuses your personal taste into a design, she commented. Ann Porter regularly writes her opinions on kitchen fashions.
