A pair of housing developers opted to blend contemporary features with more traditional, rustic aethetics at a new home project in Oxfordshire, it has been reported.Brit and Laurence McCourt showed the Henley Standard around Newlands at Catslip in Crocker End, Henley a showpiece property referred to as an eco sustainable new build house.Describing the homes frontage, the newspaper said Metal, timber and clay bricks elegantly combine and far from being showy, the exterior almost conceals the luxury which lies within its walls.Such luxury includes two Gaggeneau pyrolytic aluminium ovens in the Poggenpohl kitchen as well as two combi steam ovens and a central island unit with Zimbabwe black granite work surfaces. It was also noted that the same oak flooring had been used throughout the groundfloor interior in the same tone as the decking outside, thereby providing the eye with an unbroken expanse so the space flows from one area to another.Meanwhile, interior designer Barb Soth told the Southtown Star last week that homeowners can bring greater balance to their rooms by decluttering vital areas around the kitchen sink.
