A new study has found the majority of homeowners consider the kitchen to be an integral selling point in a property. The 2008 KILZ Roller Report of American and Canadian owners, cited in an article by ARA, found 82 per cent of home sellers believe kitchen design to be very or extremely important to their purchase decision.Speaking about the findings, designer and television presenter Lisa LaPorta said keeping a kitchen in good condition is a must for those planning to sell their homes. When it comes to selling, new appliances have the greatest impact on kitchen appeal, she said, suggesting technology such as a waste disposal unit may get a buyers attention. A full renovation is an expensive process, so Ms LaPorta recommended making a kitchen appear brand new with new cabinets and paint.New cabinets and worktops may require new sinks and taps, however, but style on a budget is available, for example the County range at Simply Kitchen Sinks.
