It argued that since the explosion of interior design TV shows like Changing Rooms, people have taken a greater interest in home aesthetics and the appearance of their kitchens, with social housing tenants no different.Indeed, Rixonway noted that social housing kitchen manufacturers were prompted to work with the bolder primary colours which grew in popularity following such programmes.Similarly high-gloss, once the reserve of the private retail market, began creeping into the social housing sectors product ranges, it added.
