That is what US-based couple Ellen and Craig Nichols did when looking to free up space in their cramped Southwest Portland home, the Oregonian reports. Bringing in 24-year veteran Robin Fisher, the couple worked closely with the designer to ensure they got the kitchen they wanted. According to Ms Fisher, the project went through some teething problems and there were some large-scale changes to be made.She remarked Not all clients can handle these evolutions, Robin says. But that made it fun. We were able to say, Well, that just didnt work. Lets change it.Ms Nichols agreed and called her new kitchen, which has features such as mahogany trim with matching woodwork and Marmoleum flooring, stunning.Last month, Arizona Republic reported that updating a kitchen using a designer could save money as could be able to highlight areas in which costs can be cut.
