Kitchen conference set to showcase sustainable design

One of the biggest kitchen industry trade fairs is set to take the stage in 2008 with a new look and an expanded range of attractions.The 2008 Kitchen/Bath Industry Show, which will come to Chicago next month, is featuring a new focus on sustainability and a host of kitchen celebrities.Candice Olson, host of Home and Garden Television, will offer conference-goers a tour through some of the most effective and dramatic kitchen transformations featured on her TV series over the past year.Meanwhile a certified kitchen designer will lead a workshop on sustainable kitchen design, pooling the techniques used to craft industry bests in kitchen sink design, waste disposal products and energy usage.Cory Smith, vice president of the Kitchen and Bath Group, the division of the Nielsen Company that manages the event, said The workshops and event schedule at this years show focus on the strengths of the kitchen and bath industry and what we as an industry can do to increase the forward momentum.Incorporating new, cutting-edge information and the best, highest-quality products is what keeps this industry moving forward.
