Small changes to kitchen taps could help homeowners to reduce water consumption - and save money. But the kitchen tap is not the only place where savings can be made, as making changes in the bathroom can also help.Deseret News noted that there are numerous water saving gadgets on the market, all of which can help to cut consumption.Fitting water-saving faucets in the kitchen can help to reduce water flow by around 0.7 gallons per minute, the news provider said.Indeed, some of the kitchen faucets available have filtered water taps built in, the newspaper added, meaning that fresh, filtered water is also available to users.Other products that can be fitted include a hot water re-circulating system, so that hot water can come more quickly to taps.Last month, a writer for the Telegraph, Kara Gammell, said that fitting an aerator to her kitchen tap helped her to reduce the amount of water she used and make savings on her water bills.
