Kitchen cabinets can be refaced to save money

Posted by Sinks on 27th Jun 2017

Making adjustments to kitchen cabinets can be achieved without having to fork out for expensive replacements, it has been suggested. Although the economy is in a rut, adding value to a property is always a money-smart move in the long run, the Seattle Times reports. One way of updating a kitchen without overspending is by refacing existing cabinets with a plastic laminate, solid wood or wood veneer, interior design specialist James Hicks told the news source. According to Mr Hicks, adding a new face to kitchen hardware can cost as much as 50 per cent less than purchasing and installing new ones. For those not confident to do it themselves, a contractor can be hired to make any adjustments a homeowner needs, he added. Greg Miedema recently told the Daily Journal that swapping fixtures such as kitchen sinks and countertops is becoming an increasingly popular choice for those with a property.ADNFCR-1321-ID-19320262-ADNFCR
