Kitchen accessories and appliances are key components to any kitchen design, one expert has said.Homeowners are looking to impressive kitchen accessories and white goods to add an extra focal point to open-plan living spaces, Robert Ambrosi, director of luxury fridge firm Sub Zero explained.He said that the evolution of the kitchen as a design-led, aesthetically pleasing space has affected every area of redevelopment plans.Accessories such as cooker hoods and draining boards are viewed as important as undermount sinks and kitchen sink plumbing, Mr Ambrosi told Abu Dhabi publication the National, suggesting that the changing function of the kitchen is responsible for the current approach to design. Appliance design has developed as kitchens have evolved, he said. It is no longer simply a place for food preparation and most of us now want our kitchen to operate as a multi-purpose area to cook and entertain as well as work, relax and socialise.
