Fashion is increasingly influencing accessories in the kitchen and throughout the home, an expert has said.Gabrielle Bliss, founder and managing director of BlissHome, an online store which sells Nigella Lawson and Hairy Bikers kitchen and bathroom accessories, suggested that homeowners are much savvier these days when it comes to fashion and have more of an awareness of the leading designers.Commenting on fashion-inspired home products, she said I think that Orla [Kiely] is the only person that has done this [designed a homewear range] successfully because she really understands the whole concept of applying pattern.I think its quite exciting that someone is prepared to put pattern into a kitchen.In other news, a recent article by the Deccan Herald on kitchen design recipes argued that kitchen sinks should still be installed within the conventional work triangle.It noted that such a layout has long been used to maximise efficiency and functionality in kitchens.
