Italian kitchen design achieves sleek and modern look

A new Italian kitchen design combines minimalist elegance with attention to quality finishes.Online lifestyle magazine Tandem reported on the styles on show at a recent interior design exhibition in Canada. Pointing out its favourite styles, the magazine commended a kitchen by the Italian design firm Scavolini which features durable cabinetry and attractive textures.In addition, Tandem said that the kitchen cabinets had no protruding handles to create a sleek and modern effect.Elsewhere, the magazine commended interior stylist Arren Williams who set up a dramatic space by combining black and purple tones with shiny silver furniture. The popularity of environmentally-friendly designs at the show was also noted The more modest desire to live sustainably was also a theme running throughout the show.Earlier this week artisan Kyle Contris showed the Olympian how he was able to create a series of environmentally-friendly countertops by using recycled glass.
