Black was the most popular finish for range cookers last year, suggesting that more people are looking for darker sink accessories. The colour accounted for 39 per cent of the market spread across the traditional and modern markets. However, reds, browns, blues and greens collectively make up less than 10 per cent of cooker installations, Rangecookers.co.uk claims.Rangecookers representative Chris Parker said Stainless steel was the preferred choice of 33 per cent of customers, with cream and other colours occupying the remaining 28 per cent.He added that reds, browns, blues and greens were seen as the preserve of the upmarket traditional sector.Modern cooker installations also represented 48.5 per cent of cookers provided by Rangecookers.co.uk, while 51.1 per cent were traditional designs. The World Interior Design Network recently reported that Blanco has premiered the new Tartufo earth shade for its Silgranit PuraDur range.
