A design team has created a novel method for keeping kitchen workspaces clean.Gizmag reports that Chris Ruby, a design firm in Germany, has developed the Transfer cutting board - a device that allows people to easily slide all food from the board onto a plate without spilling any over the sides. The designs clever feature is a semi-circular enclave on one side of the board into which a plate can be inserted. This allows for the easy transfer of ingredients and removes the potential for mess in kitchen sink or food preparation areas.According to Gizmag, the board is made from solid beech and can hold a plate with a diameter of 23cm and up to 2.7cm in height.Writing for Blogging Innovation, Idris Mootee, chief executive of design firm idea couture, recently suggested that the kitchen is becoming overcrowded with too many poorly-designed appliances and accessories.
