Inset VS Undermount

Posted by Sinks on 2nd Aug 2018

What is the difference between an Inset and an Undermount sink?

Inset Sinks are installed by being placed on top of the worktop with a top lip. Usually an external frame is placed and mounted around the edges to allow the sink to stay in position. Some of the most common features of an inset sink, are that they are square frames and generally come with a draining board.

Undermount Sinks are sinks that are installed from under the surface of the worktop with a cutout made to the correct size of the bowl.
