Many homeowners make new years resolutions to redesign and improve their rooms, an expert has said.Interior designer Betsy Burnham told the Associated Press that the New Year often prompts people to clear out clutter, catch up on small repairs and bring a fresh style to their favourite room.Ms Burnham said that homeowners considering a new year makeover could spend a weekend looking through design magazines and tearing out photos of the things they liked, adding Any of your rooms can look like any of those rooms.Fellow designer Brian Patrick Flynn, meanwhile, advised looking for small spaces in homes that are not being used before brainstorming new uses for them. Mr Flynn showed the news provider that a new look could be achieved in the kitchen sink area by removing clutter and adding bold paint to the backsplash. For another innovative kitchen sink design, a couple recently showed the Bulletin how they were able to create a sense of light by adding a green tinted glass backsplash.
