A couple designed and tiled their own backsplash to add a personal touch to their kitchen sink area.Edward and Sondra Rosequist showed HamptomRoads.com around their home which the pair said was ugly and dated when they bought it.To make the home more functional, the Rosequists created a laundry room and helped to design their new kitchen.The couple told the news provider that their main concerns were to have minimal clutter and personal expression in the kitchen. They realised this creativity by tiling the backsplash while Ms Rosequist also designed a unique, curvy shape for their raised granite countertops.Elsewhere, the couple opted for simple and elegant storage units.
