Partial changes are better than no changes in the kitchen, according to interior design experts.Pooling a range of opinions and trends in the industry, the New York Times claimed that small changes could revitalise a kitchen and provide a thoroughly modern makeover.Taking a pragmatic approach, it was suggested that when refinishing the all-important cabinets is out of the question, at least replacing the hardware could be an effective solution. And while ushering in more natural light is more of a challenge, it was claimed that kitchens could be updated by simply replacing fixed ceiling lights with modern movable track fixtures.Taps were meanwhile singled out as an easy area for improvement, provided people opt for modern looking stainless steel and chrome models many of which are offered by manufacturers such as Franke and Astracast.Interior designer Simon Temprell told the newspaper that for all hardware and appliances the style runs more toward oversize, sleek features.
