Plumbers are more likely to offer green advice to homeowners, a new survey has found, which could be good news for people looking to install new kitchen taps. The survey commissioned by the Energy Saving Trust found that 81 per cent of plumbers would offer such information to people.Electricians came in second place, with 73 per cent claiming they would provide environmentally-friendly tips for homeowners. But the poll found that carpenters are in last place - 27 per cent - for the tradesman most likely to give a helping hand with green advice.Kitchen taps can be a source of energy savings, with Perrin and Rowe taps reducing water leaks. The twin levers or crossheads on Perrin and Rowe taps means that electricity is not wasted by the running of hot water when only cold is required.Latest figures show that around 24 billion is spent annually on repair, maintenance and improvement works in UK housing and some of this work represents a missed opportunity to make green improvements, HV News reported Philip Sellwood, chief executive of the Energy Saving Trust, as saying.ADNFCR-1321-ID-19198363-ADNFCR
