A new, environmentally-friendly housing development has used energy efficient kitchen taps among other appliances to boost its green credentials.Taylor Wimpeys Drayton View development in Daventry, Northamptonshire, was built using responsibly sourced materials and features homes with much larger windows than usual to allow as much natural light in as possible and reduce energy consumption. In addition to the eco-friendly kitchen taps, the homes incorporate energy efficient light fittings, cavity wall insulation, low-flush cisterns, a shower save system and a delay-start thermostat.Taylor Wimpey sales and marketing director Jan Titley, said Drayton View has been a success from the start and the green initiatives here have struck a chord with all of our buyers because they feel theyre doing their part for the environment.Meanwhile, Phil Spencer, host of Channel 4s Location, Location, Location told the Daily Mirror this week that people can add value to their homes by replacing fittings and fixtures like kitchen taps.
