Govt urged to commit to green investment

Posted by Sinks on 27th Jun 2017

The government should show more commitment to sustainable technologies and schemes such as the green investment bank, experts say. People may start to look at more energy efficient ways of using sink accessories, as the public is now becoming more comfortable with discussions over their carbon footprint, according to the Chartered Institute of Plumbing and Heating Engineering (CIPHE). Kevin Wellman, operations director at the CIPHE, also warned about how the reputation of green technologies should be maintained. He explained The big fear is to ensure that we [...] avoid the unscrupulous people jumping on the bandwagon talking about renewable technologies and creating mayhem or bad press for the competent and conscientious installers out there. Mr Wellmans remarks come after a new report by the CBI warned that the UK is not attracting sufficient levels of investment to build low-carbon infrastructure.ADNFCR-1321-ID-800512711-ADNFCR
