London-based surveying firm GIA has expanded to lighting and interior design departments and has upped its employee count from 25 to 93 by looking for diversity in its leading staff, it has emerged.Construction website Building reported the company has hired an Italian actor, a nuclear scientist, a video games designer, a pub landlord and a male model in a variety of roles in the firm. The news provider interviewed GIAs senior partner and founder Gordon Ingram, a mysterious, paternal figure rather like the boss of Charlies Angels, who gave his reasoning for the moves that his company made.He said We look for people with enthusiasm and an ability to learn before anything else.We genuinely prefer to train people ourselves. The best people pick it up very quickly.Mr Ingram also highlighted the social element - a human connection central to their work in lighting and interior design.GIA was established in 1993 and currently furnishes its offices with pool tables and the largest private coral fish tank in Britain.ADNFCR-1177-ID-18713000-ADNFCR
