Placing a new kitchen sink in the right place is extremely important to the overall look and feel of a kitchen. That is according to an interior design expert, who has suggested that many problems can be caused by putting kitchen sinks in the corner.Rita St Clair told Tribune Media Services that positioning in corners could be awkward for practical purposes and admitted she is unaware of any trend that involves putting sinks in corners.Such decisions are usually made for space planning reasons in a small kitchen or to allow for more continuous counter space, she stated.A sink sandwiched into a niche corner will seldom be wide enough to accommodate big pots and pans. Furthermore, a sink in the corner also makes it impossible for two people to work side by side while washing fruit or vegetables.Ms St Clair has also said that keeping kitchen sinks clean should always be a priority.
