Leading sink manufacturer Franke has scooped a Red Dot Design Award for its Pebel sink range in Fragranite. The Pebel range was launched in 2012 and has been selected for a coveted Red Dot international design award which recognises products for their combination of design, innovation, functionality and quality. Steve Rutter, marketing manager for Franke, says With our Pebel design, we read the emerging trend for curves in the kitchen correctly and it was the fore-runner for the curved sinks styles that are coming more and more now on to the market. We are delighted to have our innovative thinking recognised on the international stage in this way because design is easy to copy, whereas it is not so easy to genuinely innovate. The Pebel range features a free flowing and curved style with an undulating drainer. The sinks are both stylish and practical and have the significant advantage of a sanitised, anti-bacterial finish. Launched originally in Fragranite in the three colours of polar white, coffee and onyx, the Pebel range has now been extended to include ceramic options in black and white. The range includes both single and 1.5 bowl options with accessories including a stainless steel strainer bowl, a drainer basket and a stylish glass chopping board.
